AT LAST MV JAHAN MONI COME BACK HOME

The 26 Bangladeshis, freed by Somali pirates after 99 days of confinement on board the Bangladesh-flagged ship MV Jahan Moni, arrived home Monday afternoon.
A flight of Oman Airways carrying 25 crew members and the wife of the ship’s chief engineer from Oman landed at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong around 3:25pm.
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan received them at the airport. The families of the crew members also gathered at the airport to receive their dear ones, reports our staff correspondent in Chittagong.
Twelve out of the 26 freed Bangladeshis are from Chittagong.
Although the owning company of the ship booked the air tickets of March 22, they were brought home a day ahead.
